Re: [TRNSYS-users] Range check error

Benjamin,

A range check error is a generic fortran error that needs to be tracked down with the debugger. If you are using Trnsys17 or 18 and are using only standard components, TESSLib components and/or Transsolar non standard components then you should contact your distributor for assistance.

I have gotten the "cannot find dfdev.exe" error in the past. I seem to recall that restarting the compiler (or reinstalling the compiler) fixed it.

kind regards,

 David

Dear all,

I’m facing a ”Range check error” message followed by “An unexpected error was encountered and TRNSYS will abort.”

The Debug mode doesn’t show any information that might help to trace the error in the List file, and I can’t manage to run the Fortran debugger (MVS 2010) since TRNSYS searches for Dfdev.exe, but I cannot find it anywhere in the MVS directory.

Do you have any advice on how to find the error, or how to run the debugger?

Kind regards,

Benjamin Manrique D.
