Re: [TRNSYS-users] Information Request

Mebarki Chahrazed,

I assume that you are using Type56 for the building model in your simulation. If so then you should be able to define the surfaces that you do not want to model as BOUNDARY walls that have no thermal mass (they are instead resistive only and have a very high thermal resistance). If you want to model one actual wall and one window then the other 5 walls would be modeled as high r-value (low u-value) surfaces.

kind regards,

 David

Good Morning

My name is Mebarki Chahrazed and I'm a 2nd PHD Student, I'm working on the optimization of energy consumption in building and I just want to know if   TRNSYS16 can do the simulation of thermal loads only for one window or for one wall not for the entire local? for exempele if we want to simulate only window gains whith TRNSYS 16, can that be possible?

I really appreciate any help you can provide.
