 TRNSYS 3d serves to define the building's geometry. Once you are finished defining the geometry then you move from Trnsys3D to TRNBuild where you will define (or modify) the materials that make up the walls of the building.

  The u value is only one measure of a wall's performance. The other significant part is where the mass is located in the wall. Type56's wall model takes both into account. The u-value is displayed because it is a common measure of wall performance.

When I change the order of materials, including insulation material, in "wall type" manager/TRNBuild, the U-value does not chage.
