Re: [TRNSYS-users] "Regeneration temperature did not converge" error

Dear David

Thank you very much for your answer.

I used the type 56 to see what is in progress at the time that I give this error. At the time 5060 the requiered regeneration temperature rises above 150 C , all the other times it is below 150 C , could it be the reason ?

Thank you

Ahmad,

I would suggest that you implement a Type65 to watch all of the inlet and outlet conditions (temperature, humidity, and flow rate) for the desiccant wheel pause the simulation right before the error occurs. There is an option in the TRNExe file menu (when the simulation is running) that allows you to specify a simulation time at which you want to simulation to pause.Looking at the inlet and outlet conditions might give you an idea why the device cannot come up with a regeneration temperature that results in the desired process stream outlet humidity ratio.

Also I do not know whether you are considering pressure in your simulation but it is a good idea to do so. When air gets near its saturation point the atmospheric pressure can mean the difference between a condensing situation and a state in which condensation does not occur.

kind regards,

 David

Dear All

Using type 683 ( desiccant wheel) I get this error at the middle of my simulation :

Regeneration temperature did not converge

what should I do ?

Thank you
