Re: [TRNSYS-users] GenOpt could not be found

Dear Ahmad,

Unfortunately my sending you files is very unlikely to help. The problem is most assuredly one of permissions and file locations and we haven't hit on the one that is causing the problem yet.

May I ask in what location you installed GenOpt? I seem to recall that the last time I installed GenOpt I could not get it to work in its default location (which was in a \Users\ directory). I ended up putting it in a d:\GenOpt folder to get it entirely away from the c:\ drive. TRNSYS, however is installed on c:\.

kind regards,

 David

Dear David
Thank you veru much for your comprehensive explanations.
I followed and checked all of your comments:
1- I have unistalled TRNSYS and TESS files from Program files (X86) and installed it on dirve C .
2- The versions are TRNSYS 16 and GenOpt 2.0.0 which are compatible based on TrnOpt document.
3- I have ckecked the permissions of excess to Genopt.class file. Also I checked the dirctories in TrnOpt setting.
4- I'm trying first to run the example.
But even I can't run the example, and I'm getting same error.
Maybe trying other versions of Genopt 2.#.# will help me but the Genopt download links of the "simulation research group" website doesn't work .
If it is possible for you,Could you please send me the Genopt files please? and do you have any other comment?

Thank you
