Re: [TRNSYS-users] Wall type manager

Adnan,

TRNBuild allows you to define new materials. You can define soil by its density, specific heat, and thermal conductivity and then assign a thickness to the layer. Do not, however, define an infinitely thick layer of soil. The larger question, is how you will compute the temperature on the under side of your soil "layer." There are a number of options and I would recommend that you look back through the archives of this forum to learn about them. The most robust option (but slow to compute) would be to implement Type49 to compute the ground temperature underneath your soil layer.

kind regards,

 David
