Re: [TRNSYS-users] Strange problem with output and simulation times

Massimo,

It is normal that when you activate the "write TRNSED commands" function the simulation start and stop times set in the Studio are overwritten. TRNSED is a way of making a simulation that you've developed into a stand-alone distributable appplication (subject to some restrictions!). Once you activate the TRNSED commands, the idea is that you then start editing the template interface that has been created by the Studio using TRNEdit. One of the controls that gets added to the interface is the ability for the end user of the distributable application to set the start and stop time based on a pull down menu.

If you are planning to create a distributable app, I would recommend that you have Studio write the TRNSED commands, then make all further edits and modifications from TRNEdit. If you are not intending to make a distributable then switch off writing the TRNSED commands in the Studio. If you have concerns about the results that you are getting with TRNSED commands off and run from the Studio then I would recommend contacting your distributor for some assistance.

kind regards,

 David

Good morning to all,

I have a problem that is driving me crazy:

I simulate a simple model with “write trnsed commands” on “true” and I see that in the output the time of START is not equal to the same model simulated with “write trnsed commands” on “false”.

Then in the case that I put “write trnsed commands” on “false”, the values referring to the last hour are wrong (also the weather data).

Infact if I simulate an interval with an hour more than before the results change.

Thanks in advance

Massimo
