Maria,Maybe you already did but also check to make sure that the external windows are not set to have an automatic calculation on the external side.
I have run into this situation as well and I think I finally fixed it by turning off ALL the automatic heat transfer calculations and then by adding them back in a few at a time until I found the wall that I thought was only used as an ADJACENT wall but in fact had been used as an EXTERNAL wall as well. Fortunately I didn't have too many wall types to check.

Dear Tnsys users, while trying to run my simulation with TRNSYS 16 I get this error message: "Error in automatic heat transfer calculation for surface 6 or its adjacent surface!: Automatic heat transfer calculation is only allowed on surfaces within a zone. Please check building input file (.bui)!” I already checked that the heat transfer coefficient calculation of all my external wall types is not set to “internal calculation”. Any ideas on how to fix the problem? Thank you!
