Dear Alastair, thank you for answering this question to Issmail. I’d like to make a comment here regarding thermal bridges with detailed geometry mode: Since no surfaces can be added for the detailed geometry mode, you can either: -
Switch to mixed mode -
Increase the U-Value of a wall -
Add negative heat gains to the zone depending on dT= Tzone - Tamb If you wanted to study the effect of e.g. a 2D thermal bridge at roof corners regarding energy and comfort you would have to add surfaces in SketchUp
representing the thermal bridges and give it a high U-Value.
All the best _________________________________________________________________________________________________ Jakob Merk TRNSYS Software Team

Im Auftrag von Alastair McDowell Hi Issmail,
“To consider the effects of thermal bridging on the thermal behavior (heat losses) and other In TRNBuild, go to the window that specifies all the walls and windows of a zone. Below the 'Walls' pane, click on Add. Select from the pull-down menu to the
right of 'wall type' the option 'Coldbrigde'. TRNBuild will open a window asking you for the required parameters. Let me know if you have any more problems! I’m here to help. Kind regards,
