Re: [TRNSYS-users] Absorption and adsrotion chiller

Wajahat Khan,
Both of those components base their estimate of performance on a performance map that gives (essentially) device capacity and COP as a function of the current inlet conditions. The refrigerant and indeed all the inner workings of the device are irrelevant because their properties are built in to the performance map. It is recommended that you find a performance map for the specific equipment that you are trying to model if at all possible. Such data can often be obtained from manufacturers in their published literature.
kind regards,
 David

My question is regarding Adsorption chiller type 909 and absorption chiller type 107.

Both of these chillers have external files for different parameters but there is no information about the refrigerant absorbent pair in case of absorption chiller ie which refrigerant absorbent pair is used.Similarly i didnt find any information about refrigerant adsorbent pair used in adsorption chiller. No information available that data available in external files is for which pair?
Any have idea about this?
