  This was an error in the Type50 proformas that was resolved some time ago. It would probably be a good idea to contact the primary license holder at your institution and make sure that you have the most up to date TRNSYS version.
 
  It is possible to fix the problem yourself in this case. To do so:
1. open the Type50 proforma by double clicking on it from the Direct Access menu in the Studio.
2. Change to the "variables" tab and click the "variables (parmaeter, inputs, outputs, derivatives)" button at the top of the page.
3. filter on "parameters" by clicking the parameters tab
4. select the third parameter by clicking on the number "3" then click the "modify" on the right.
5. set the "minimum" field to 0 and the "maximum field to +Inf
6. click ok
7. save the modified proforma.

once you have modified a proforma, it is necessary to right-click on that Type in your project(s) and select "replace" from the context menu, then browse to locate the proforma in the direct access structure.

I am using PV- Thermal collector / concentrating collectors (Type 50f) for the hybrid (electrical energy and thermal energy) simulation.
Within the Type 50f one of the parameter (no.3) is ratio of aperture area to absorber area. I am wondering whether this is same as concentration ratio (CR). However, If so, the range given is 0 to 1.
Please guide me how is possible to have CR less than one. If I use the value more than one it is not accepting and processing.
Please help me for this doubt.
