Re: [TRNSYS-users] Hot water outlet temp link

Idris,
The "hot side" and "cold side" in the tank is an unfortunate historical leftover from Type4's original use as a tank in a solar water heating application. Those names don't really have any physical meaning except in the case in which you have selected an inlet temperature mode that automatically sets the location of the inlets. If you choose the Type4 mode that allows you to set the locations of the inlets and outlets you can ignore its reference to a "hot" and a "cold" side. If you do use the automatic inlet/outlet positioning mode then the "hot side" inlet is at the top of the tank and the "hot side" outlet is at the bottom. The "cold side" inlet is at the bottom of the tank and the "cold side" outlet is at the top.
kind regards,
 David

Dear All,

Could someone please advise on how to connect/link the outlet temperature in the hot water cycle (i.e return temp in the hot water cycle) of the absorption chiller,as the available connection/link is the Cold side temperature which has already been used by the chilled water temperature.

Find attached screenshot of the connection/link and the project.Thank you.

Your sincerely,

Idris
