Re: [TRNSYS-users] Question about dehumidification

Sylvie,
It is in Loads and Stuctures (TESS): Latent Load Calculator: Type2280
Kind regards,
 David

Laldje,
You can set a dehumidification (and humidification) set point in TRNBuild and Type56 will calculate the latent energy removal/addition required to meet that setpoint. I'm afraid I do not know whether the treatment is adiabatic or not. In my experience you have to be a little careful with this because the dehumidification/humidification can occur without either sensible heating or cooling occurring. However, more often in an actual building, what we really care about is a temperature set point and some latent cooling occurs as a result of cooling down the air that is used to provide the sensible cooling. If this is your case then there is a component in the TESS Loads and Structures library that gives an empirical estimate of the latent cooling that occurs as a consequence of providing sensible cooling. We use that model in order to estimate a total cooling load for building spaces.
kind regards,
 David

Dear all,

I would like  simulate dehumidification air in a building.
Could you give me some ideas please?
I heard that Trnsys considers the treatment of humidity but only adiabatically, is that true?

Thank you
Laldje
