Re: [TRNSYS-users] Help to Heating District with Trnsys16.1 model

Thank you so much David for your answer!

I have another 2 questions:

1) In the case of summer operation, I have to "exchange the cold", so I have to use a cold heat exchanger that, powered by a cold fluid, must cool the another fluid. Which kind of heat exchanger I have to use? Which type do you suggest me?

2) I have to simulate both the winter operation and the summer operation. Is there a way to change the conditions of the system with its parameters during the same simulation?

Thank you again!
Kind regards,
Laura

Laura,
Type907 in the TESS CHP library has the features that you are looking for.
kind regards,
 David

I need a cogenerator, an engine which has a hot water flowrate and a certain temperature, as outputs. This is the reason why I asked for help with an ICE component and an heat generator.

Could you help me? Can I find a type for a cogenerator, an engine which has a hot water flowrate and a certain temperature, as outputs? I have Trnsys 16.1 with TESS library.

Thank you again!

Best Regards,
Lally

Lally,
There is a diesel engine generator component available in the standard TRNSYS library (Type120). There is a different model of an internal combustion engine in the TESS CHP library (which is an add-on to the standard package). I am not sure what (specifically) you mean by a heat generator. There are quite a few TRNSYS components that simulate devices that generate heat.
kind regards,
 David

Hi Trnsys people! I'm trying to simulate a model of Heating District with Trnsys 16.1 , in my final thesis at the university. Does somebody know some Trnsys Types to simulate an ICE component and a Heat Generator?
Thanks to everybody!
