Re: [TRNSYS-users] Hot water absorption chiller

Farah,
In order to get the simulation to run you can put in the same COP and capacity data twice into the file, once with a 1.0 part load ratio and again with a lower part load ratio. I want to stress, though, that while that will make the simulation run, you aren't going to get meaningful results out of your simulation unless you can find some part load data. Otherwise the chiller is going to run at its full load capacity and COP no matter what the inlet conditions to it are.
Best,
 David

Dear Sir,

I want to simulate a small hot water absorption chiller (Rotartica Type) on TRNSYS. The data (COP and Cooling capacity) of this chiller are only available for design fraction at full load.

However, when I tried to simulate the solar chiller using an external file that I created, I get an error: I must have 2 design fraction minimum in the external file.

Does anyone have an idea about this?

Thank for your help.

Best regards
