Re: [TRNSYS-users] statistical calulations

Dear Thibaut,

I would recommend you to take a look at

https://pypi.python.org/pypi/pybps

there you can find a simulation manager that, among other things allows you to launch parametric runs with .bui files and recall the results in a format suited to load the data into R. You will need to transform the sampling generated by R as input to pybps, but that's quite straightforward. Hope it helps

Dear Trnsys users,

Did any of you heard of chaining trnsys with a statistical software like "r project" or others?

The idea is to asses the uncertainties in heat and cold demand with trnsys based on Monte Carlo draws generated by the statistical software, and automated computation by Trnsys.
I know the main problem would be that you have to generate multiple bui files. But is it feasible in the principle?

Thanks in advance

Thibaut
