Adam, I think this actually has to do with read/write permissions. Make sure first that you do not have Trnsys installed in the ..\Program Files\ or ..\Program Files (x86)\ directory and that you have administrator privileges on the computer in question. Also try launching the Studio (..\trnsys17\Studio\Exe\Studio.exe) by right clicking on it and then selecting "run as administrator" then try to launch TRNBuild again.
