Re: [TRNSYS-users] Load definition in Type56

Hello.

Thanks for the clarification. I just have one more query. According to Eq. 5.4.1-1, only the convective heat transfer affects the node air temperature change. In this regard, should I not use Q_SENS as the sensible building load that should be handled by the supply air? What other output parameter should I use instead? Please advise.

Juan Francisco,

You're right Q_SENS is part of the energy balance of the zone. As the
system boundary of the zone energy balance
includes the inside surface nodes, all radiative heat fluxes are taken
into consideration.
See p.5-45 in the TRNSYS manual for further explanation.

I am not sure if I have completely understood this answer.
Q_sens is not based on an energy balance performed on the zone air?...
where is the radiative part there?.

Yes Q_SENS includes both the radiative and the convective parts.

Dear all.

Can anyone advise if the output QSENS (NType 2) include both
convective and radiative loads? Thank you!
