Re: [TRNSYS-users] Solar gains in Type 12c building

Clara,
Neither of the simple building models (Type12 or Type88) account directly for solar radiation gains through windows. In order to account for these gains you would need to use a window model (such as Type35 or Type687) to account for solar gain and then add those gains into the building model using one of the available gain inputs.
Kind regards,
 David

Dear TRNSYS users,

I am trying to model a simple building using Type 12c, but I also want to account for solar gains through the building’s windows.

My question is if anyone knows of a simple way to do this in a dynamic way, using radiation data from a the weather data reader?

Best regards,

Clara
