Re: [TRNSYS-users] variable wall layer conductivity in type56

Piotr,
You would need to write your own component in order to model that sort of a wall. You could then use the BOUNDARY wall concept in Type56 to make an interface layer between the rest of the building and your wall model. In order to write a new model for TRNSYS, you need to have a compiler capable of making a 32-bit DLL. The rest of TRNSYS is developed using the Intel Visual Fortran compiler and it is highly recommended that you use this compiler if at all possible.
Kind regards,
 David

Hello TRNSYS users,

Does anybody know if there is a way of  inputting conductivity of a wall layer  as a variable? I would like to include in my model the effect of change of conductivity of a wall with its temperature k(T), but in module Type56 (Multi-Zone Building) it seems to be impossible, conductivity in Layer Type Manager can be specified only as a fixed number. Is there any way of getting around this problem?

Thanks in advance

Regards

Piotr
