Re: [TRNSYS-users] definition of ceiling/floor with TRNBuild

Fedrico,

Zones are created without roofs/ceilings as a default. You have to add them yourself.

Right click the zone in TRNBUILD. You should see the Airnode window open up with a list of all the walls. Here you can add walls, change wall parameters, and assign pretty much all the details of your zone.

This is detailed in Chapter 6 of the documentation. “Multizonebuilding.pdf’

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] definition of ceiling/floor with TRNBuild

Hi everyone,
I am a new user of TRNSYS and I am already facing some problems.
First of all, I define a multizone building through the wizard (I mean from SimulationStudio File\New\BuildingProject(multizone), follow all the steps and in the end I get my TRNSYS file.
Assuming i make a very simple one-zone building, I open Type56 with "EditBuilding" i see the surfaces: 4 external walls for N, S, W and E and one for the ground (type BOUNDARY).

My question is, WHERE IS THE CEILING? how can i modify it?

Thanks

Federico
