Re: [TRNSYS-users] (no subject)

Abhay,
The sample data file does come from an actual chiller and it is common to see much higher COPs when the chiller is running at part load. One thing to bear in mind, though is that while data in the external file is interpolated within the range covered by the file, it is not extrapolated beyond the range given. If you have a poorly sized chiller and it is running at some point either above or below the range in the data file, you may not get correct results. It is always best to use a data file for the chiller that you want to use. Such data is available at manufacturer's websites. TRNSYS does not have the ability to autosize components.
Kind regards,
 David

hello users,
i m giving 3.2 COP as a input in Chiller but when i m checking the output for COP it comes close to 11. when i see the external file of the chiller it shows only sample file of chiller performance data which i m thinking is not appropriate. please tell me from where i can get chiller performance data for chiller or is there any way to make it by own. please help me to resolve this problem.

thanks for any help..
