  As far as I know, there is compatibility between the two. If you installed the plugin and the Trnsys3d tools do not appear when you launch SketchUp then you need to go back through the installation process and be careful about the install directory. The default install directory may still be pointing to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Google SketchUp 7\Plugins\

whereas the Trimble Sketchup version is installed in a different place.

  If the tools appear and simply don't seem to work and you have an older copy of OpenStudio installed, you may need to deactivate that plugin in SketchUp. Another possibility is that some users have reported such behavior when they have IES installed on the computer.
