Re: [TRNSYS-users] Problem with azimuth of surface

Afolayan,
There are a number of different weather data components and solar collector components that you might be using and the answer to your question depends somewhat on which combination you are using. In general make sure that you have set the azimuth in both the weather data reader and if applicable, in the solar collector model. Also make sure that you have correctly connected the solar radiation outputs from the weather data reader to the solar collector (through the radiation processor if applicable).
You may contact your distributor directly. While technically Trnsys16 has not been supported since a more recent version was released in 2009, they may be willing to have a look at your project.
Regards,
 David

Hello,
I am a new TRNSYS 16 user. I am running a simulation on solar water heating and i tried to change the azimuth of surface value in the weather component in order  to determine the angle where optimum solar radiation can be received but the result doesn't seem to make any difference irrespective of the value i give to the azimuth. i will like to know why this is so and what can be done to correct that.
Thank You
