it doesn't really need to know unit area of the collector modules. The way most collectors are constructed is with a header and a number of parallel risers. Whether you have one module or two in parallel, you are still dealing with a header and a number of parallel risers. The difference between one module or two in parallel is in the edge losses. One larger module will have less edge loss per unit of surface area than two modules. The edge losses are captured in the efficiency equation.Please correct me if I'm wrong, but how will the model correctly simulate this? It doesn't know the "unit area" of collector. How does the model not assume that 2 collectors in series might have 16.5m2 each?
