Re: [TRNSYS-users] Type56 Outputs

Ben,
Unfortunately, as far as I know there is not an easy way to get that information out of 56 which is why I typically define those schedules and magnitudes outside of type56 and then pass them to the building (and to whatever other pieces of equipment might need to know those schedules). I realize that it duplicates your scheduling efforts already but the TESS Applications Library has a number of schedule components that will allow you to define them without using Type14.
Kind regards,
 David

I would like to create outputs from the multizone building (Type 56) that incorporate all of the thermal gains derived from the use of electricity. This would include “Artificial Lighting”, “Computer”, and (usually) “Other Gains” but would not include the gains from “Persons”. The outputs “QGCONV” and “QGRAD” and similar would seem to include “Persons”.

Is it possible to create such an output for a zone (or better yet, a group of zones)?

If not, does anyone have a clever way to estimate plug and lighting electrical loads in TRNSYS (without duplicating all of the efforts for defining magnitudes, schedules, day-lighting controls, etc)?

Thanks,
