Re: [TRNSYS-users] Component for non opaque overhang

Pauline,
There is not a standard component to model that kind of facade shader; the best I can suggest is that you characterize the overall shading effect that the slatted walkway has on the windows and then apply an appropriate ESHADE factor to the window itself in TRNBuild.
Kind regards,
 David

Hi,

I would like to model metal slatted walkway (“duckboard”) in front of a building façade (high school).

As there is gap between two metal elements I can’t use the overhang component type 34 because it is for opaque ones.

Could anyone tell me if there is one component in the standard library allowing me to model that or how can I model that with another way ?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Best regards,
