Re: [TRNSYS-users] Temperature Profile of a Wall

Fahri,
The TRNSYS wall model is not a finite difference model but uses response factors that are developed for the wall as a whole (ie the combination of layers, not the layers individually). As a result, the model does not compute interlayer temperatures within the wall.

 David

Dear TRNSYS-User,

i have built a wall with concrete. i know trnsys calculates the surface temperature of the inner wall to the zone and the wall outside.
But what i also want to know are the temperatures inside the wall at different points, so that i have a temperature profile of the wall.
i tried to handle this problem by not  building the wall with one concrete layer but splitting up the one layer in many small concrete layers
and between to layers i would know the boundary layer temperature. But i can´t find out the boundary layer temperature. Do trnsys have any ntyps
or functions to calculate temperatures of any point in the wall?

Thank you for your help

Best Regards,
