Re: [TRNSYS-users] adjacent wall not found.

Sofie,
Its hard to know without looking at the idf file itself. Often times, this is caused by a wall whose normal vector is pointing the wrong way. The fix is simple: you simply have to select "reverse faces." The hard part is to figure out which wall is giving you trouble. Often times, you can look in the *.b17 for an adjacent wall whose adjacency is set to "undefined" and then start looking back in the idf file in Sketchup/Trnsys3D.
Best,
 David

Dear,

When opening my multizone building model from sketchup(.idf) in Trnsys. Open studio, I receive the error for several zones that “an adjacent wall is not found”.

Opening the idf in sketchup again and checking each surface, they all are modeled correctly, the wireframe model is pure (no overlappings or mismachings) and the boundary conditions are inserted correctly.

What is possibly causing this error?

What happens if I press “set to undefined” when opening the idf in Trnsys?

Thanks in advance for your help,
