Stéphan,
I recommend that, take a copy of Excel file that is in example folder of Trnsys. After that, you can adjust the cells what you want to read as output according to data you adjust it as inputs. Because the problem might be not only in the the security settings in Excel but also there is a macro has to be already inside the file. Therefore Trnsys can read what you want.

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Calling Excell
Dear TRNSYS-Users,
I'm trying to use type 62 calling excel. I have the same problem as Simon (see message below). I checked the security settings in Excel and chose "Enable all macros". But it still doesn't work! Could it be a problem linked to excel 2010? I tried by saving my excel worksheet in 2007 because with 2010 we are obliged to save as a ".xlsm" when using macros... But it still doesn't work.
Thanks for any suggestions

Simon,
Check the security settings in Excel on the computer that won't run the
example. When TRNSYS calls Excel, it runs a macro that is embedded in
the Excel file. If your Excel settings are such that Excel will not open
any files that have macros in them, you will get this error.
Best,
David
