[TRNSYS-users] Chilled ceiling in type 56

Dear TRNSYS users,

I have some questions about the chilled ceiling model of the type 56:

1) Equation 5.4.5-1 of the documentation  reads Uwrw = 0.6 exp (0.0469 * Psp_norm). What is the reference of this equation? Is it based on empirical or theoretical considerations?

2) How are the parameters “norm area” and “norm number of loops” used by the component?

3) The evaluation of model parameters is based on data from the norm DIN 4715. Today, an European norm exists (EN 14240). Does someone has experience with the conversion of EN 14240 to DIN 4715 data?

4) Which Troom is used in evaluating equation 5.4.5-8? Alfa_norm = 1/R2_norm – 4* sigma * Troom^3

5) What is the reference of equations 5.4.5-16 and 17 and of their standard coefficients? Is it possible to use this equations for other types of air gaps (i.e. space between a ceiling and a false ceiling?

Thank you for your help!
