Re: [TRNSYS-users] Problems with 3d wizard

idf is input data file, energy plus file format. Might you have the sketchup plugin " open studio " installed? Open studio causes issues when installed in the same directory as the simulation plugins- Gmodeler, & IES VE..

The fix for these is to copy your plugin directory and rename with a new name, then delete all non TRNSYS simulation studio plugins in the root sketchup directory. Then you can use other plugins by renaming the copy and root versions of your plugin so other plugins can be used with sketchup as a medium.

I do not post to TRNSYS often because I typically use energy plus but like to read up on TRNSYS and may find a need for its flexibility.

This post made me wonder about something i read about, Energy Plus TRNSYS co-simulation that is. I wonder if anyone knows of a type that might tye into Energy plus external interface object or BCVTB that allows for this co-simulation?

It would be interesting for me to experiment with, as i only have the free trnsys version and find Energy Plus with design builder to work for most but not all simulation goals, so it would be very interesting to be able to call .bui from .idf or vise versa . ..

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Problems with 3d wizard

Hi all
Following the tutorial for trnsys3d, i get to the step that trnsys asks for a idf file. I did save as idf my trnsys3d project, but I got a message that  the program cant find a BUI file. What is the problem?
Thasnk you for your advice.
