Re: [TRNSYS-users] Fwd: TRNSYS Wizard Problem

Dear Mr. Bradley,

I can't find the corresponding *.bui and *.b16 files after creating a project using TRNSYS Wizard. I guess there is a BUG for the TRNBuild or it was not completely installed for the TRNBuild. Because once I double-click TRNBuild, it will appear the Attached BUG like my last email. Therefore, I think it's the reason why I can't create a simulation studio and *.Bui file using Wizard.
How to solve this problem? Do you think it is not completely installed for the Basic Building Library? We should reinstall TRNSYS or not?
Since I create any project every time using Wizard, after that, it always appears "*.bui file contains an invalid path".
So I'm sure *.bui and *.b16 files are not being created after using Wizard. But I don't know why not.
Please give me some advices.

Many thanks in advance!

Wang,
The *.bui file contains all of the building information. It sometimes has the file extension *.b16 or *.b17. I would do a search on your computer and find the file. If such a file does not exist then there is a problem with the building that you are specifying in the wizard. You need to solve that problem and make sure that a *.bui *.b16 or *.b17 file is being created. Only after you are sure that you have such a file can you verify that the Trnsys Studio path pointing to that file is correct.
Regards,
 David

Hi Mayank,

Many thanks for your quick reply!
However, I can't find the *.bui file the last attached figure shows the path of the file, i.e. the *.bui file can't be created perhaps!

Additionally, it shows the attached BUG when I open TRNBuild directly or select "Edit Building" for Type 56 in TRNSYS Studio.
Do you and other experts have some solutions or advices for that?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi Wang,
This error occur when you do not specify the building file (.bui) made in TRNBuild. there is type 56 or other which define building in model. Go to that component then files tab and then browse your building file. I think it resolve your problem.

Dear all,

I made the simulation using TRNSYS Wizard, however, after that I got a TRNSYS Bug. Please see the attached figure which is the bug I met. (English meaning:*.bui file contains an invalid path )

Do you experts have some solutions or advices for that?

Once I use the TRNSYS Wizard to produce other any new program, it appears this bug all the time. If I can not deal with it, I will not continue to work using TRNSYS.

Many thanks in advance!
