Re: [TRNSYS-users] Type 655 problem with external files

Dear Santeri Siren,

When I ran a simple simulation with Type655, I was indeed able to see a response with the fluctuating ambient temperature input. Could you perhaps send my your *.tpf and let me know what version you are using?

Thank you,

Matt Duffy

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Type 655 problem with external files

Dear all,

I think I have some major problems with air cooled ! chiller type 655. I created a simple example project where I change the ambient temperature over time and see how the COP reacts. But the COP doesnt change at all. It seems that the air cooled chiller doesnt read the external data file as it should. I used the example files provided with the TESS HVAC package as the external performance files.

When I change the chilled water setpoint tepmerature over time then the COP changes but even then the chiller power doesnt change. Have you any idea why this is happening?

By the way, I do know that in the performance file the cop rating should be in the first column. However this doesnt change the fact that the ambient air temperature doesnt affect the COP. I have attached a picture of my simulation.

Thank you for advance!!

best regards. Santeri Siren
