Re: [TRNSYS-users] radiant heating walls

Gabriela,
There is a radiator panel component available in the TESS HVAC Library for Trnsys17 (Type1271). I would recommend that you use whichever model more accurately represents the situation in your building; if the walls have piping embedded in them then the active layer would be the more correct modeling methodology. If there are radiant panels mounted to the walls by standoffs, then I would lean towards using Type1271.
Kind regards,
 David

Dear users,
I want  to perf torm the simulation of a building(type 56) that is using a water to water heat pump and radiant heating walls to heat the building. I would like to ask if it’s there a certain type for the radiant walls. Would be better to add active layers to my walls? I would like to know your opinion.
Thank you!
