Re: [TRNSYS-users] TRNSYS 3D problem

Muhammad,
The idf file seems to import fine for me. Here are the steps I followed:

Open TRNBuild (in the ..\Trnsys17\Building\ directory)
Select File: Import TRNSYS3d File ...
Click the small green triangle button and browse for the *.idf file that you attached.
Click the larger arrow button next to the "Import" field.

After a few seconds, your building's 11 zones will appear. You then need to save the *.b17 file so that its additional files can be created.

Once the *.bld, *.trn, and *.inf files are generated you can go to the TRNSYS Simulation Studio, drag out a Type56, select the *.b17 file that you generated in TRNBuild, and begin attaching other components to the building.
Best,
 david

Dear all,

The simulation studio is not creating a 3D building project from the .idf created in sketchup 8 (kindly find attached). can anybody tell me how to get the TRNSYS17 to create a 3D building project?

Thanks,

Tauha
