Re: [TRNSYS-users] Exhaust air out in type 56

In general, Type56 doesn't really care what happens to the air that leaves the zone. (note: this is NOT the case when Type56 is coupled with COMIS or CONTAM). If you have an exhaust fan, you can simply use an external model and use the zone air temperature and RH as the inputs. What you do have to concern yourself with is where the replacement air is going to come from. In otherwords, when the exhaust fan turns on, it will depressurize the zone and some replacement air will come into the zone. Type56 assumes that the zone remains pressure neutral and does not do a mass balance. So it is up to you to make sure that you add an equal amount of air into the zone (using a VENTILATION type (as was correctly recommended by Baboo Gowreesunker) or a coupling airflow to an adjacent zone).
Kind regards,
 David

hi,

Does anybody know how to blow out the hot air in type 56? i link a fan trying to simulate flowing out of hot air, but there is no mass flow rate in the output of type 56.

Thank You
