Hi Sascha, Thanks for response. But I still don’t understand everything… To be clear my .idf file name ‘bud.idf’: 1) So, I don’t use bud_b17.idf at all? 2) I star everything from Update function with bud.idf in the „corresponding TRNSYS3d File“ and e.g. bud_1.idf in the „Save as“? 3) The file from line „Save as“ – bud_1.idf - is useless? 4) Second step is to open bud.idf and change what I need, e.g. dimension of one window? 5) What next? What does it mean: “reload the changed *.idf in the SimStudio or Trnbuild“? 6) Are all my settings (ventilation, layer, heating, walls ect.) safe? Kind regards, Karol From: Heinze [mailto:heinze@ingweber.de] Hello Karol, just use the *.idf file in the Update function for the „corresponding TRNSYS3d File“ and the „Save as“ is as usual, name it as you desire. After updating the *.idf file you can open it in SketchUp and bring in your changes. If you`re done, you can reload the changed *.idf in the SimStudio or Trnbuild. Best wishes Sascha Heinze Von: Karol Bandurski [mailto:karol.bandurski@put.poznan.pl] Hi, There is procedure to update TRNSYS3D file but how it working – I can’t cope… My issue: 1) I start with creating building in Google SketchUp – create *.idf file 2) Then, I start new project in Simulation Studio using project type: ‘3D Building Project (multizone)’ – create *_b17.idf file 3) Then using TRNBuild I change construction of walls, windows, I introduce heating, ventilation ect. 4) Now I would like to change dimension of one window without changing ‘Geometry Modes’ –how to do it without changing other things (heating, ventilation, construction of walls, windows…)??? I know about function File-> Update TRNSYS3D file… but how to do it: a) Where I should introduce changes: in *.idf file or in *_b17.idf? b) Which file should I select for line ‘select corresponding TRNSYS3d File’ and line ‘”Save As” update TRNSYS3d File’ in Update-window? c) It is enough to click ‘Update’ or I should do something more? Kind regards and thanks in advance! ------------------------------------------------ Karol Bandurski MSc. Institute of Environmental Engineering Poznan University of Technology |
