Re: [TRNSYS-users] Error generating Shading/insolation matrix -> windows too close of zone boundaries

David,
thank you for your answer. The roof shading device is actually a series of straight lines, so I will try to draw my windows further from zone boundaries.

Best regards.

Rémy,
You might be right about the windows being too close to the zone boundaries. I usually keep about a 10-15cm border around my windows even in a case where the window goes all the way to the edge of the actual zone. I also notice that it looks like there are curved corners on the roof/shading device at the top of the building. I wasn't able to zoom in and see whether in fact these are a series of straight lines approximating a curve or whether it is actually a curve. In any case, I would make sure that it is a series of straight lines to approximate a curve.
Best,
 David

Dear all,
I got an error when I try to generate Shading/insolation matrix. It tells me "insufficient virtual memory" (see picture attached).
I have no problem when importing .idf file and this project is really simple (picture attached).

I wonder if this could be because my windows are too close of the edges of the walls?
I also attach my idf file if this can help.

Thanks for your help,
Regards.
