Re: [TRNSYS-users] Type 1244 Soil Noding

Hello Sam,

The TRNSYS_SlabNodingProgram plugin is used to create the file for the Type49 TRNSYS Slab-on-Grade Component (see C:\Trnsys17\Documentation\TRNSYS_Multizone_Slab_Model_Tutorial.pdf and C:\Trnsys17\Examples\Slab on Grade) while the input file for Type1244 has to be manually created instead (see "C:\Trnsys17\Tess Models\Examples\Ground Coupling Library\Type56 Basement Example Tutorial"). However, you can use the plugin to create the first layer of the input file for the Type1244 basement. This will make it easier to make the subsequent layers in the Type1244 input file.

Also, both of the output files from Type49 and Type1244 may be graphically displayed in the output viewer (C:\Trnsys17\Tools\GroundTemperatureViewer\GroundDisplay_Slideshow.exe).

Best regards,

Matt Duffy

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Type 1244 Soil Noding

TRNSYS-Users,

I'm having difficulty with the Type 1244 Ground Coupling component not reading the input file correctly. I have created the input file in Google Sketchup, but have not been able to read the created file in TRNSYS.

I am using the ***_Soil Noding File.dat output data file. I am using the following program versions:

TRNSYS - 17.00.0019
Google Sketchup - 8.0.4811
TRNSYS_SlabNodingProgram_v3.! rb

Can anyone provide me with assistance in creating a file that Type 1244 can read correctly?

Regards,
