Hi, I spotted an error in my model, (missing a window), and am trying to read it back into SketchUp to correct it. What’s happening, though, is that when I update the *.idf file and then open it using the TRNSYS plug-in (SketchUp 8), I get the following error: Sorry...the plugin has encountered an error. This error may cause unpredictable behavior in the plugin--continue this session with caution! It would probably be a good idea to exit SketchUp and start again. For help, please contact the TRNSYS newsgroup by https://www-old.cae.wisc.edu/mailman/listinfo/trnsys-users . When reporting a bug, please include the error message and backtrace below (scroll down): ERROR: ArgumentError At least three points needed to fit a plane BACKTRACE: C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google SketchUp 8/Plugins/Trnsys3d/sketchup/Geom.rb:335:in `fit_plane_to_points' C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google SketchUp 8/Plugins/Trnsys3d/sketchup/Geom.rb:335:in `plane' C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google SketchUp 8/Plugins/Trnsys3d/sketchup/Geom.rb:301:in `normal' C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google SketchUp 8/Plugins/Trnsys3d/sketchup/Geom.rb:453:in `normal' C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google SketchUp 8/Plugins/Trnsys3d/lib/interfaces/SubSurface.rb:97:in `check_input_object' C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google SketchUp 8/Plugins/Trnsys3d/lib/interfaces/DrawingInterface.rb:75:in `draw_entity' C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google SketchUp 8/Plugins/Trnsys3d/lib/interfaces/ModelInterface.rb:205:in `update_model' (eval):0:in `each_with_index' C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google SketchUp 8/Plugins/Trnsys3d/lib/interfaces/ModelInterface.rb:201:in `each' C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google SketchUp 8/Plugins/Trnsys3d/lib/interfaces/ModelInterface.rb:201:in `each_with_index' C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google SketchUp 8/Plugins/Trnsys3d/lib/interfaces/ModelInterface.rb:201:in `update_model' C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google SketchUp 8/Plugins/Trnsys3d/lib/interfaces/ModelInterface.rb:118:in `draw_model' C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google SketchUp 8/Plugins/Trnsys3d/lib/ModelManager.rb:183:in `open_input_file' C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google SketchUp 8/Plugins/Trnsys3d/lib/CommandManager.rb:71:in `open_input_file' C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google SketchUp 8/Plugins/Trnsys3d/lib/MenuManager.rb:83:in `create_commands' If I carry on anyway, even if I activate a zone, I cannot generate any recogniseable components in the zone. How can I correct the errors in my model? Thanks, Rebecca |
