Re: [TRNSYS-users] simulation model for a PCM storage tank???

Dear Anabela,

I know that Transsolar has the ICEPIT component model commercially available, and there is another ice storage model publically available at the TRNLib site, but to the best of my knowledge, there is no generic PCM storage tank component yet available for TRNSYS.

Best regards,

Matt Duffy

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] simulation model for a PCM storage tank???

I’m just beginning to work with trnsys.

I would like to make the simulation of the tank and of the all system in Trnsys. I already found some authors that developed they own model for this component (. Is it  already available in oficial Types of trnsys? if not, can someone help me with some ideas??

The HVAC system is composed by a Ground source heat pump and a thermal storage tank  will be installed in a public building.

Taking into account the operation temperature in the fain coils of 40ºC, it was chosen a commercial PCM with a melting point of 46ºC from EPS (UK) (hydrated salt - rectangular modules).

Best regards,

!

Anabela Carva lho
