Re: [TRNSYS-users] air source heat pump water heater

Hello,

There are two components in the TESS HVAC Library and one component in the TESS Storage Tank Library that model air-to-water heat pumps (also known as heat pump water heaters). Each of the components have data file formats that are each slightly different. You can view the descriptions of the components at the following PDF.
http://www.trnsys.com/TESSLibs17_General_Descriptions.pdf

Otherwise, if you do not have the TESS Component Libraries, you may simply use the Type42 performance map component with your own data. There was even an example that was implemented with TRNSYS version 17.00.0019 that uses Type42 as a simplified AWHP.

Best regards,

Matt Duffy
