Re: [TRNSYS-users] Wrapper type

Santiago,
Getting two programs to communicate with each other is a bit complex because normally, the two need to talk using the operating system's language (Windows API). I would recommend that you look at the source code for Type66 (TRNSYS/EES), Type62 (TRNSYS/Excel), Type101 (TRNSYS/Fluent) and Type155 (TRNSYS/Matlab) to get an idea how others have solved the problem in the past. I would also recommend that you contact the LabView developers or a LabView forum and ask if anyone is aware of existing communication links into LabView from other programs. It is often easier to copy the structure of existing links.
Best,
 David

Dear TRNSYS-users,

I am trying to exchange information between TRNSYS and LabView and I would like it to make it cleaner than it currently is. I was wondering if someone had written a wrapper type to make these two talk to each other or if someone could briefly describe how I can do it myself (or where I could possibly find this information). I am not an expert programmer, but don't mind trying to learn how to do it myself. -if there are other methods to do this that I am not aware of and that could be simpler to implement, I would really like to know about them-

Thank you in advance!
