Hello Stefan,
As long as you implement the timestep as a fraction in an EQUATIONS in the control cards, you should be ok. For example,
EQUATIONS 1
TIMESTEP=2/60 !Timestep of 2 mins
Please see the attached for reference.
Best regards,
Matt Duffy

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] time delay by means of type 93 (input value recall)
Hello everybody,I am new at trnsys-users.Currently I`m modeling an already existing solar heating system (for hot water).In this system the loading pump is activated by a time delay of 4 minutes (after solar pump is launched).I tried to model this as follows:- simulation time step: 2 minutes- storage of the control signal of the solar pump over the last two time steps by means of type 93 (input value recall)- if the control signal of the solar pump is "1" in the stored two time steps, then the loading pump is launched.It works (tried by a simple example deck) but does it also works in context with a quite big deck (120 m² apertur area, 2 continuous controllers)?I`m concerned about that the small time step of 2 minutes could cause problems (for example oscillations of the controllers).Could this work or have someone of you another idea how i can solve this problem?Thanks a lot.Best regards.Stefan Wachter

1. NTYPE 906: Energy balance for surfaces (??)

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] NTYPE 906: Energy balance for surfaces
Dear all,
I have some questions about NTYPE 906: Energy balance for surfaces:
1. Please see the ATTACHED.
Based on the Manual, B6_BAL should be always 0, but here i think its calculation is wrong. B6_BAL isn't -8.180E-13, it should be 2.683E-03, so it's not 0, PLEASE tell me some possible reasons about it.
1_B6_BAL = - 1_B6_DQWALLdt- 1_B6_QCOMI+ 1_B6_QCOMO+ 1_B6_QRADGI+ 1_B6_QRADGO- 1_B6_QALG
-8.180E-13 -3.838E+03 2.683E-03 -3.838E+03 0.000E+00 0.000E+00 0.000E+00
2. B6_DQWALLdt in Manual is change of internal energy of surface, but it's a little abstract. Here I only used the heatings in TRNBUILD, no other internal gains. PLEASE give me some examples about change of internal energy of surface. Is it energy Generation of Wall etc.? Why here is minus (-3.838E+03)? What's difference between B6_DQWALLdt and B6_QCOMO? Why here they are the same? Is there some reasons?
3. I think B6_QCOMI is some heat flux enter into inside of wall such as the heat from the heatings of indoor and the solar radiation, Is it right? B6_QCOMO is heat loss from the wall outside, Is it right? If wrong, PLEASE tell me what are their meaning.
Thanks!

Hi,seems like you hit a limit for the generation of the transfer function coefficients.Please check if the roof is defined correctly.RegardsChristianTRANSSOLAR Software Team

Betreff: [TRNSYS-users] Strange error
Dear TRNSYS users:
I am working on a model created buy TRNSYS 3d plugin in google sketchup for couple of months. Everyday I add something to it or modify some parameters in it. Today, I have just changed the roof type in the building type 56 and tried to run it again but I have received the following error:Visual Fortran run-time errorfortrtl:severe(64):input conversion error, unit 56, file C:\.....building.trnImage PC Routine Source DFORRT.DLL 02014C49 Unknown Unknown UnknownAnybody has an idea to solve the issue?Thank you.

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Questions...please reply
I`m doing a dynamic simulation of buildings in TRNSYS, during the simulation gave the following error ... as you can see in the picture.
And also, I would like to send me a PDF about connection.
I await your response.
thanks.
