Re: [TRNSYS-users] Problem with Trnsys 3d / SketchUp 7

Rebecca,
When I first started using SketchUp, I used the value control box as follows: click to start a line, click to end the line, enter the dimension in the value control box before clicking anywhere else. It worked fine BUT I don't think it was intended to. I think the correct procedure (and the one that works in TRNSYS3D) is as follows: click to start a line, move the mouse to get the line pointing in the proper direction (BUT DON"T CLICK!!!) then enter the dimension in the value control box and press enter.
best,
 david

Dear Rebecca,

I am not familiar with  your particular issue as I have never had a problem specifying lengths/distances of lines and push/pulls with the value control box with TRNSYS3D. However, you may have a different drawing setting (Window -> Preferences -> Drawing).

Best regards,

Matt Duffy

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Problem with Trnsys 3d / SketchUp 7

Hi,

I'm having a problem using Trnsys 3D with SketchUp 7.  It seems as though the Value Control Box won't work within a Trnsys Zone - I can use other tools, but am having problems defining dimensions accurately.  Has anyone else had this problem?  I am running under Vista, don't know if that makes a difference?

Thanks for your help,

Rebecca
