Matt,
Thank you for your response. I am outputting to an Excel file using a type 25 printer. Is there a way to format the output. For example I would like the first column to have the time step, and the following columns to represent values of the function from n=1 to n=20.

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Creating a Component with Array Outputs
I am working on writing a component model that provides the vertical temperature distribution of a borehole, so my outputs for every time step will be an array of temperatures at discrete points along the depth. I am unclear on how to define an output defined by a continuous function with values taken at specified intervals between an initial and fnal value. See the end of the source code for Type4. A DO loop is implemented to output the temperatures at the different node locations. Does anyone have experience outputting arrays in every time step with standard printers. I also need to learn how to format the output the data. Thanks! I am slightly confused by this question. Are you outputting to an external data file at each time step? Are you still talking at the source code level or are you taking about the simulation with the standard Type25 printer? A aron J.
