[TRNSYS-users] NTYPE 27 QUA and (1/ai=0.13(w/m^2K)^-1, 1/ao=0.04(w/m^2K)^-1)

Dear all,

I have some questions:

To the transfer function calculation of TRNSYS in Manual Chap. 5-148: I mean User can define the Convective heat transfer coefficient of wall Front, Back(64, 11kJ/hm^2K) in Wall Manager TRNBUILD, here 1/ai=0.13(w/m^2K)^-1, 1/ao=0.04(w/m^2K)^-1 repeat once again. Are they 1/ai=0.13(w/m^2K)^-1, 1/ao=0.04(w/m^2K)-1 INTERNAL CALCULATION value in Wall Manager TRNBUILD?

I found the NTYPE 27 QUA: In my simulation it also is 1123 kJ/h as a constant, but the QHEAT (from 0 to 400 kJ/h)<<QUA=1123 kJ/h. Why  is it? What's difference QHEAT and QUA? Please explain in detail.

Many thanks!

wang

Hi Leo!

Sum Up Your (hourly) output.
If Your output is not hourly divide this sum by the number of timesteps per hour.
Divide this sum by Your floor area and by 3,6 kJ/h*W

With kind regards,
    Matthias Kersken

Betreff: [TRNSYS-users] How to get kWh/m²a

Hi Trnsys-Users,

I know it might be an easy question, but i am pretty much a "rookie" when it comes to trnsys.
I just wanted to ask, if and how i can get the kWh/m²a output for my building in an excel sheet or editor file??
Thanks

Leo

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] shm file after TRNBuild change

Dear all,

After drawing my building and its shading objects with the TRNSYS3D plugin in Sketchup, I wanted to modify it in TRNBuild (for example to add a window, so I changed the geometry mode on manual).

after doing this, I could not generate a shm file (shading matrix). I guess it is because links for calculations were cut by manual mode.

I would like to know, for my next projects, if I can generate this file before the modifications, and then switch to manual mode.

Will the shading datas be correct?

Are they calculated  based on the location of walls or real windows ones ?

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Pauline Gelin,

Katene engineer, fluid design office.
