Re: [TRNSYS-users] Water-to-Water Thermofrigopump - Type 668

Dear Augustin,

The only difference is that the data file is normalized, so you can scale the rated capacity, flow rate, and power of the device without having to create different data files each time. Yes, both components have heating and cooling.

I can send you a PDF of the parameters/inputs/outputs when I get back to the office on Monday if that would help.

Best regards,

Matt Duffy

Thank you for answering.
I have read the summarised description of the components (in TESS Lib.), but to me, apart from the two stages, it seems to be similar to Type 668. Is that easier to produce those normalized data files for the user than with Type 668. Does the two-stage component accept both Heating and Cooling control signal?
Is it possible to find the detailed description of these components, with their inputs and outputs, to know if they match with the use I am expecting?

Kind regards,

Dear Augustin,

Yes, there is a better component. Type668 evolved into Type927 (single stage) and Type1221 (two stage). These components have normalized data files, so you can scale the capacity/power accordingly. These components are in the TESS Libraries 17.

Best regards,

Hi everyone,

I am trying to model a "thermofrigopump", to obtain both cooling and heating gains through a device.
After calculating the most important demand between heating and cooling demands, the idea is to generate heat if heating demands is higher (or to cool the fluid in the other case) and to use either the annex cold production or the annex heat production for others uses. So that I need a heat pump system which calculates both heat and cool power.
I was thinking to use Type 668 to model that. Is their a better Type to do that and is that relevant?

Thank's in advance for helping me, and sorry for the english mistakes..
