[TRNSYS-users] TRNSYS 16 - Building walls and orientation.
Dear TRNSYS users,
I have some questions about building philosophy in TRNSYS, and maybe the answers help me understand how TRNBUILD works. I have attached a scetch to make it easier giving me some answers.
There are two thermal zones I want to study, first of all:
- Do I have to enter "storage room" and "closet" in the bui file as zones ?
- Z1's floor is type "boundary", Z2's floor some portion is "ADJACENT" to Z1, the remaining is "EXTERNAL" ?
- Z2's top is "HORIZONTAL", the remaining of Z1 which is not "ADJACENT" is "EXTERNAL" or "HORIZONTAL"
Also I'd like to know if a use a massless layer which has equivalent U-value with a massive will I get the same results? There are some standards about U and just want to get results without trying to make layers that satisfy Umax.
I tried to understand the "Advanced TRNBuild example" but can't find the bui file to study it. If anyone would like to share a more advanced construction just to take lesson from, please attach the bui file with a blueprint.
Thank you all for your time,
Elias
